The RX100 that set out to beat a RD350 and a KTM390

It had been over 15 years since the ban of 2 stroke engine in India. The only leftovers now in the 100/110cc range were the Rx100, Rx135 and the shoguns. All 3 were beasts that needed to be tamed by skilled drivers. All still beating crap out of all production bikes on the road all the way upto the 200cc segments. Hell we even beat a Pulsar 220 in a drag once. Obviously, there was the king of all the beasts, the RD 350. We all bowed down to the king when it came roaring to life. The RD350 was like no other and was kicking asses all the way to some 600cc's.
For a very long time i believed that no 4 stroke bike in this range would ever be able to ever be able to beat us.

2011 - I was on the way to Mahableshwar from Pune. A couple of  office colleagues set out on our 2 wheeler's.  2 Rx100's, a Pulsar and a Enfield350. The Rx and the pulsars were obviously ahead of the entire group and would wait after a while for the others inthe group to pickup. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye, I saw a orange dot. It seemed to be catching up on us and out of nowhere it overtook us with the least of effort and just speed on. I was shocked. he surely was doing around a 150km/h.  In my 15 years of biking, i had never seen another bike in this range so fast and striking. The rein of the 2strokes was coming to an end.

With a broken heart i found out that the orange dot was a KTM. I also heard that the 390 was not beating stock RD350's.  A few years later and most of the drag races and below 200cc races are being won by  KTM's.

In 2018, I had another trip out with office colleuges and was riding a RD350 this time. By since my wife was riding the Rx100, i rode along with her and we could not keep up with the KTM's and the Dominors.

This is when i decided, that i needed to make certain modifications so i could get more performance out of the Rx. But then it came to my mind, "Why not build an Rx not just to keep up with the others, but to beat the shit out of them". And thus began my Long journey to do so. The first thing was to find someone who shared the same ambition to do so. And luckily I found someone not in India, but someone in the same city as I am.
